Hello and welcome to my blog! As you can tell by my domain, my name is Jessica Ochoa. I’m a 26 year old vibrant, and versatile Mexicana living in Temecula, CA. I was born in Mexico City, and Spanish was my first language. I attended college at UC Santa Cruz, and majored in Sociology with a minor in Education. I was unsure of what I wanted to do post grad, but I knew two things, I love working with children, and I love language. In highschool, I took 3 years of French, and was obsessed. In college, I took Italian and studied abroad in Italy. This led me to the path of Speech, and Language Pathology. I completed a two year post-bacc at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Unfortunately, due to the competitive nature and my past qualifications as an applicant, I did not get into graduate school on my first time (It’s okay to fail!).
I’ve always had a desire to blog, but I’ve always held myself back. I enjoy using social media, and connecting with people. It wasn’t until 2019, that I began to do collaborations with companies! Let me tell you how much I LOVE receiving mail. Picture taking is my love language, I love to get my picture taken, I love to take photos of my friends and with my friends. When I was in middle school, I was really active on Myspace, I had my own Layout site, where I coded layouts for people to use, and I also had a Picture Contest Myspace (if anyone remembers those lol).
I love to Travel! I’ve been to 13 states in America, and 13 countries in the world, Most of them with my husband. My favorite place in the whole wide world is Cinque Terre, Italy. My dream destinations are Croatia (Game of Thrones duh), Portugal, Hungary. I also would love to travel to Japan for the cuisine (big foodie hence why I’m thiccc).
I’m married to my best friend, Ed! We’ve been together since 2011 and got married in 2018 in Ensenada. He’s the most supportive, positive, and loving person I know. I kind of just threw the role of photographer onto him and he’s been amazing. He knows my angles better than I do, and is always down to be taken to places I find on Instagram. But hey, I’ve made some compromises too, I’ve become a sports fanatic because of him and I listen to all of his fantasy football and sports talk year round. I couldn’t imagine doing life with anyone else, we do everything together cook, rave, party, watch sports, the only activity we do separately is workout because that is my alone time.
Fitness and working out is also another big thing in my life. If we’re friends, we’ve probably done something athletic together. I’m OBSESSED with cycling, I go to the BEST studio in Murrieta called Rebel Spin. I also lift weights, do hot yoga, and love to hike. I’ve been consistent with my fitness and nutrition for 6 years now and have lost and kept off 40lbs of fat. I love to help others reach their goals and constantly share new stuff on my instagram.
I love my friends and spending time with them! They’re spread out all over California because I went to school in NorCal. If you know me you know I’m addicted to hot cheetos. I also LOVE to attend music festivals.
